Opportunity to become a key member in the Program Sales Trading franchise. The role will focus on daily management of client flow through the PT Platform.

The candidate will be client facing with a large focus on Canadian based buy-side funds, increasing penetration into those funds and growing the portfolio trading business with a bias to the Global equities markets. Role requires candidates with a Financial background and no less than 15yrs Portfolio & electronic trading experience. The candidate must already hold active Series 7, 57 and 63 registrations as mandated by FINRA.

Key Accountabilities: Close cooperation with the Cash & Electronic Sales Trading teams across the Globe will be required, to leverage existing relationships in order to increase penetration and revenues from the Target client list. Knowledge and ability to execute trades using the execution platform with an importance on portfolio cash balancing The role will require the candidate to provide color on the markets, training on algorithmic execution and value add information on how to improve execution performance. TCA will be used to drive the business forward and help clients to better improve upon their Execution benchmark.

Support the delivery of commercial goals and objectives at regional and global level.The candidate will need to articulate changes in market structure, product enhancements and inform clients how best to navigate the changing market structure Ensure that strong working relationships are developed and maintained with all other global equity teamsThe Program Trading Platform is undergoing a major investment program and the job will involve articulating client feedback and requirements gathered during client contact to help prioritize platform developments in the context of the wider team to maximize revenue collected from investment spend.The job includes helping to shape external marketing initiatives to increase the HSBC profile in the Execution space including conferences, media and marketing collateral.

Impact on the Business: The New York based role will be the main point of contact for execution matters for both our external and affiliate clients, in particular for execution queries, analysis and incident escalation. Experience of supporting and growing the Program Trading desk to ensure high quality execution for global clients Emerging market Cash Equities knowledge and experience (desirable) Strong knowledge of Global equities market structure and technology/architecture Ability to establish and effectively manage governance forums to support the businessKnowledge of cross border tax implications of a global equities business including booking models and regulation regimesStrong academic record and good all-around knowledge of financial markets and business finance.Experience in project management/proven track record in successful project delivery Strategic thinking/pro-active can-do' attitude/ability to challenge the norm.Track record in producing quality analysis with good analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and operate under pressure.Team player/leader with strong communication skills to decompose and explain complex issues to all audience levels.Excellent organization and time management skills.
